FiberConnect Order Guide

Overview

The purpose of this guide is to assist carriers with ordering FiberConnect Service

FiberConnect Service is an interstate Special Access product, which terminates 4 DS1 circuits at the Customers Designated Location (CDL), via a fiber facility. This product will target cellular customers who want their DS1 service on fiber facilities but will not be restricted for cellular customers only. The customer orders FiberConnect with an electrical interface and four transmission channels at 1.544 Mb/s. This product is currently available in the West.

Pre-Order

Prior to submitting an ASR, carriers should use the Pre-Order Validation Tools in CSG. By using these functions, carriers will be able to validate fields on their ASRs prior to submission. All fields on the ASR must be populated according to the Access Business Rules

Service Inquiry

All orders for FiberConnect will require a Service Inquiry ASR before a firm order can be placed. The following guidelines describe the required fields for a Service Inquiry (including those not listed here) must be populated according to the Access Business Rules. The SPEC codes and NC/NCI combinations listed below are to be used for both a Service Inquiry and a Firm Order.

Order

After receiving the Service Request Confirmation, the customer can submit a firm ASR. A complete ASR is essential to properly provision and bill FiberConnect access services. All fields on the ASR (including those not listed here) must be populated according to the Access Business Rules.
