The Verizon East Business Rules represent a family of documents necessary to support the application of electronic fields, system edits, and field usage rules essential for pre-ordering, ordering and provisioning and trouble administration of Verizon's resale and unbundled network services. Verizon East Network Services continually assesses the potential impact of ATIS LSOG releases, mandated changes, new products or service introduction, and the impact of the Rules on operational performance.

In those instances where a proposed Business Rule modification has the potential to impact the CLEC, Verizon East will notify the CLEC of the proposed change using an Initial Notification message. The change will appear as a Proposed Business Rule Change with the notification date, the target implementation date and eventually the actual install date. Upon implementation, the Proposed Business Rule Change will migrate to the list of effective Business Rules. It is possible that proposed changes will be issued as an Exception Notification.
