Overview
The Loop Qualification Inquiry provides a CLEC with the physical make-up of the facilities at the selected location.


When to Use
The Loop Qualification Inquiry is used to determine if facilities exist for loop technology-dependent products prior to placing a firm order. The inquiry is not related to any specific product type.


How to Complete
The required field to submit a Loop Qualification Inquiry using Validated Address is "Market Segment." The required fields of "Customer Carrier Name Abbreviation," "Company Code," "State," "Transaction Number," "Transaction Type," "LSOG Version," "Street Address Street Name," "City," "State" and "Zip Code" will be automatically returned using the information from the address validation transaction.

The required fields to submit a Loop Qualification Inquiry using Working Telephone Number are "How Many WTNs," "Working Telephone Number," "Transaction Number," "Transaction Type" and "Market Segment." The required fields "Customer Carrier Name Abbreviation," "Company Code," "State" and "LSOG Version" will be automatically returned using the information from the address validation transaction. However, when the telephone number is CLEC-owned or location-ported the CLEC must validate using the service address.

The required fields to submit a Loop Qualification Inquiry using Other Address are "Transaction Number," "Transaction Type," "Market Segment," "Street Address Street Name," "City," "State" and "Zip Code." The required fields "Customer Carrier Name Abbreviation," "Company Code," "State" and "LSOG Version" will be automatically returned using the information from the address validation transaction.

Responses from Verizon
A successful response may include one (1) or more of the following details:
  • Local Service Termination (LST): this field will identify the CLLI Code of the end office switch from which service is being provided.
  • Pair Gain/DLC (PGPRES)
  • Bridge Tap (BTL, BTLEN)
  • DSSC Presence (DSSCP)
  • Load Coil Quantity, Type and Location (LCQ, LCT, LCL)
  • F1-F4 Loop Composition (F1-F4 LPCP)
  • D4A
  • D4ALST
  • Facility Environment (FE): The response may identify the type of facility serving the end user. Valid Entries include: A (Fiber), B (Fiber & Copper), C (Copper) or D (Provisioning is not available at the address).
  • LPAC (Loop Product Available) = one or more of these services:
    • xDSL
    • ISDN
    • PARTs
The following fields will provide additional information on alternate loop facilities:
  • Alternate Loop Length (ALL)
  • Alternate Loop Length Quantity (ALLQ)
  • Alternate Loop Length by Gauge (ALLG)
  • Alternate Loop Available (ALA)
  • Atlernate Bridge Tap Quantity (ABTQ)
  • Alternate Load Coil Quantity (ALCQ)
  • Alternate Local Service Termination (ALST)

To view your response, use the Loop Qualification Inquiry Query by TXNUM or Status Report.
