Connect:Direct® over VPN net to net
EDI format

Order Connect:Direct® Dedicated EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) commonly referred to as Network Data Mover—is a connection between Verizon and CLEC used for electronic transport of customer files. This transport is available over a dedicated (TCP/IP) connection. Connect:Direct® supports the exchange of EDI transactions between trading partners. Connect:Direct® functions as an interface between Verizon's EDI translator and the CLEC's EDI translator.

This transport is available through the establishment of a VPN net to net connection. Client will provide Verizon with the Peer IP of the VPN appliance along with the remote host IP and NDM Node Name. At this time, Verizon East Connect Direct transport option, only supports transactions from/to a UNIX environment.

Security Requirements: Firewall Screening, User Name, and Password.


The following tasks must be completed to establish this connection:

Submit Connectivity Request over a Secure Connection Submit a Connectivity Request Form.
(A new Connectivity Request Form must be submitted if you are making changes to an existing connection.)
Complete Connectivity Testing View information about Connectivity Testing.
