The following table lists the values of the Override Handle Code field on the Trouble Ticket Create and Trouble Ticket Modify screens. The appropriate use of these codes is important because the CLEC is required to communicate the dispatch direction on all trouble tickets. When used properly, these codes route the ticket to the "fixer", as well as indicating the trouble priority to Verizon maintenance forces. It is important that the CLEC understands the use of the code and applies only those listed in this table.

* In Verizon North, when no Override Handle code is input by CLEC, normal Verizon screening rules will be applied to the trouble according to the Troubles Type Code and Test Result Code, when applicable. In Verizon South , when no Override Handle Code is input by CLEC, the system defaults to EBHOLD for RCMC manual processing.
** Use of VMS handle code by CLEC is limited to jurisdiction. Voice Mail Service is offered by Verizon on a Wholesale Basis.
