Wireless Project Management
The Project Management Team will manage projects that are new service offerings or employ new methods of offering existing services. In addition, factors that will be considered include:
- Project complexity
- Number of circuits
The best method of determining when a project needs a project manager is to contact your Account Manager.
The following general functions will be performed by the Wireless Project Management organization:
- Provide customer with a single point of contact for all project communications
- Project planning, including preparing statement of work, developing project objectives, developing work breakdown structures, developing schedules, identifying quality acceptance procedures and documenting a project plan
- Project implementation, including tracking and evaluating schedules, managing change control, coordinating the activities of all organizations involved in the implementation, issuing project reports and implementing project controls
- Overseeing and managing the overall installation process, including service order, circuit design, engineering, construction, installation and billing
- Project completion and close-out, including obtaining customer agreement of close-out
Negotiating Due Dates for Projects
All due dates for projects will be negotiated. Factors used to determine due date intervals are:
- Number of circuits involved
- Complexity of circuits involved
- How accessible the sites are
- Requirements for inside wiring
- How many circuits the customer can test and accept at the same time
It is expected that the customer will participate in end-to-end testing with Verizon on the due date.
