Executive Profile
Kathleen McLean is senior vice president, Sales for Verizon Partner Solutions. She leads the team responsible for sales and account management for existing carrier and wholesale customers and emerging markets, sales strategy and policy, account relations and planning, revenue generation and reporting, channel development, sales engineering and national sales operations.
Prior to her current role, she was senior vice president, Customer Care for Partner Solutions. She led the team responsible for the ordering and billing of local exchange products and services for large and medium sized business customers as well as competitive local exchange carriers and resellers. Her organization served premier customers, commercial East and West, Federal, educational institutions, state and local governments, internet service providers and CLEC/resellers.
In the Wholesale Markets Group, she was senior vice president, Customer Relationship and Systems Management responsible for the negotiation of interconnection agreements, customer service, training, documentation and technical support, as well as systems requirements and administration for work center automation tools, process design and system specifications for efficiency initiatives and new product introductions. She also ensured compliance with legal and regulatory obligations including audits and performance assurance reports filed with state and federal regulatory agencies. She has testified as an expert witness before the Federal Communications Commission, Department of Justice and numerous state public service commissions.
Ms. McLean has held a number of portfolios within the Information Technology group including: senior vice president, OSS Policy and Performance Assurance, vice president of Architecture and Technology and vice president of Wholesale Systems. In these capacities, she was responsible for Wholesale Systems, Systems Architecture, Call Management Technologies, Corporate Data Management, Marketing Systems and Data Warehouses, eCommerce, and Infrastructure Support.
Prior to joining Verizon (Bell Atlantic), Ms. McLean was vice president, Telecommunications Industry Group at an international business and information technology consulting firm where she had P&L responsibility for a major practice area. She has over 25 years of experience leading organizations especially in the use of process quality and information technology to improve performance.
Ms. McLean serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Philip’s Academy, an independent K-8 school serving Newark, NJ and its environs as well as the Board of Directors for the Guardian Ad Litem Association for the NC 5th District Court. She also serves on the Board of Advisors to Harbor Hill Technology, a woman-owned small business.
Ms. McLean has an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and
did graduate work in Information Technology Management at George Washington
University. She is located in Basking Ridge, NJ.
