Introduction
Replica is an augmented reality app that allows you to explore The Metropolitan Museum of Art, collect digital versions of the artwork you see while at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, create a digital replica, and upload the digital replica to a Roblox account.
Replica’s privacy practices are covered by Verizon’s Privacy Policy as well as the practices described here. In the event of a conflict between the two policies, the practices described in this policy govern when using the Replica app.
Information we collect and how we use it.
Replica does not collect any personal information from you or your mobile device. When you download and open Replica, you will be prompted to allow the app to access your device location. This permission enables Replica to communicate with beacons installed in The Metropolitan Museum of Art to direct you to artwork, and to enable the augmented reality experience. Location information is not collected or retained by Verizon. You can disable this permission at any time in your device settings.
Replica does not allow users to make their personal information publicly available. If you wish to add your digital artwork replica to Roblox you will need a Roblox Account. Please review Roblox’s privacy policy for details about their privacy practices.
