Usage
Connect:Enterprise HTTPS
HTTPS allows external customers to exchange data files with Verizon by simply using their Internet browser to send and receive files from Verizon
HTTPS is a Web based request/response protocol which uses Secure Socket Layer/Secure Shell (SSL/SSH). SSL/SSH provides a range of security services for client/service sessions, including server authentication, client authentication, integrity and confidentiality.
Customers selecting HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) will be required to use a browser that supports Java script and have the script turned on.
HTTPS is available through an internet connection using Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Netscape 6.1 or higher. The internet connection can be made through an Internet Service Provider (ISP) via a dial-up connection, dedicated line, or frame relay connection. The customer needs to negotiate its internet connection with its ISP. The customer is responsible for sending files to Verizon and retrieving files from Verizon.
