Access Ordering is Verizon’s web application for Access Service Requests (ASRs). ASR Preorder Validation, Order Processing and Order Tracking are available through this web interface for the Verizon footprint.

Establishing an ID for the Access Ordering
In order to obtain access to the Access Ordering, it is necessary to complete an application for a User ID and Password. To apply for an Access Ordering account: go to the Access Ordering Application Home Page and select "Apply for Access Ordering Account" link found under the "Your Access Ordering Account" section.

NOTE: In order to maintain a high level of efficiency in Access Ordering, system IDs and Passwords will be monitored and access for the User ID(s) will be cancelled if there is no activity for a period of six months. No other official notification will be given.

If you are on Netscape, a Netscape Certificate Name Check dialogue box appears. Select the 'Continue' button and the Online Access Request form is returned.

If you are on Internet Explorer, a security Alert dialogue box is returned. Select the 'Yes' button and the Access Request form is returned.

Complete the form and then select the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the form to send your application to Access Ordering system administration.

Access Ordering Established E-Mails
In response to the Online Access Request form, you will receive two e-mails. The first e-mail contains the requested User ID and the second e-mail contains the Password. When both documents are received, you will be ready to sign on to Access Ordering.

Computer Display Settings
Viewing more of a page can be accomplished by changing your PC settings to 1024 by 768 pixels. In a Microsoft Windows environment, this could be accomplished by going from the START key to Control Panel to Display to Settings.

System and Browser Requirements
Verizon supports Netscape Communicator 4.6 and 4.7 and Internet Explorer 4.0 and 5.0. Each user will be provided with a unique identification and password to insure privacy of all transactions. The user's Network Administrator may need to allow the user firewall access to IP address: 198.23.5.219 - port 443.

Access Ordering Security
Access for each user is validated through one of two types of security. Socket Layer Security currently in use in Access Ordering is a security method in which the Verizon corporate firewall creates a unique image of each user and entails signing on to Access Ordering with individual profiles and IDs.

OR

Digital Certificate Security is given to a specific user for a specific PC. This means that you can only access Access Ordering from your PC, using your ID. You cannot access Access Ordering from any other PC nor can anyone else use your ID and password at another PC. If you want Digital Certificate Security, you must indicate "Digital Certificate" in the Comments section located at the bottom of the online Access Request form before submitting your access request. Otherwise, the Socket Layer Security is applied to your ID and password.

NOTE: Access Ordering Security requires that all users have a Static IP Address. Dynamic IP addresses on cluster servers, which change faster than the time it takes to complete a transaction, may cause the user to be returned to the Login page.
