Access Ordering Verizon’s web application used to create/submit Access Service Requests (ASRs) for switched or special access services. Access Ordering supports Preordering, Ordering and Order Tracking functions.
Establishing an ID for the Access Ordering In order to obtain access to the Access Ordering, it is necessary to complete an application for a User ID and Password. To apply for a Access Ordering account: go to the Access Ordering Application Home Page and select "Apply for Access Ordering Account" link found under the "Your Access Ordering Account" section.

NOTE: In order to maintain a high level of efficiency in Access Ordering, system IDs and Passwords will be monitored and access for the User ID(s) will be cancelled if there is no activity for a period of six months. No other official notification will be given.

If you are on Netscape, a Netscape Certificate Name Check dialogue box appears. Select the 'Continue' button and the Online Access Request form is returned.

If you are on Internet Explorer, a security Alert dialogue box is returned. Select the 'Yes' button and the Access Request form is returned.

Complete the form and then select the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the form to send your application to Access Ordering system administration.
The preorder functions will allow you to validate a service address, verify a Connecting Facility Assignment (CFA), or obtain information about your SONET services.

The order processing function of Access Ordering will present you with the appropriate ASR forms and fields via web screens to assist you with placing your access order.

The order tracking functions you can obtain the status of your ASR, retrieve the Confirmation Notice (CN), retrieve the Design Layout Record (DLR) and view critical dates for your order such as Due Date (DD) or Plant Test Date (PTD).

You can also sign up for e-mail notifications when your ASRs reach any / all of the following steps in the order process: Firm Order Completion (FOC) and Clarification/Notification Request (C/NR) statuses of Cancel, Jeopardy, Error, or Completion.

The Access Ordering Application Home Page provides additional information about Access Ordering such as the web form application for a user ID, the user guide, online training, job aids, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), hours of operation, contact information, release information and the link to login into Access Ordering.

Even if your company submits ASRs through our Connect: Direct processes (see AccOrd/EXACT), the preorder functions can be very useful to ensure valid information is placed on your ASR. The order tracking functions can be used on all of your ASRs even though they were not input through Access Ordering. Checking the status on any of your ASRs is quick and easy by utilizing Access Ordering as an adjunct to your Connect: Direct ASR process.
