Verizon Optical Networking Order Guide

Overview

The purpose of this document is to assist carriers with ordering Verizon Optical Networking service.

Verizon Optical Networking is a premier point-to-point, dedicated private line, Ethernet service within the Ethernet portfolio of Verizon Wholesale services. The Verizon Optical Networking platform allows the convergence of voice and data, seamlessly, so your customers receive a single LAN/WAN network solution while purchasing only the bandwidth they need. A Verizon Optical Networking circuit provides a dedicated path through the network with a variety of available throughput options. Verizon Optical Networking services are transported over Verizon's state of the art, shared Telephone Company managed network. You can offer Ethernet protocols at various speeds between customer locations without customers converting legacy interfaces.

Pre-Order

Prior to submitting an ASR Carriers should use the Pre-Order Validation Tools in CSG (Service Address, CFA Search and Validation Search tool). By using these functions, Carriers will be able to validate fields on their ASRs prior to submission.

Order

A complete ASR is essential to properly provision and bill Verizon Optical Networking services. The following information pertains to the fields that will impact Verizon Optical Networking requests. All fields on the ASR (including those not listed here) must be populated according to the Access Business Rules . Note: when this product is ordered under a private carriage agreement (Forbearance), the Contract ID must be populated in the PNUM field on the ASR form. Key Fields

ACTL Access Customer Termination Location Identifies the CLLI Code of the customer facility terminal location.
BAN Billing Account Number The BAN you want the service billed. When "N" is entered in this field a new billing account will be assigned.

PNUM Promotion Number The Contract ID is required for new service in the PNUM field on the ASR Form (example - FB12345)
