Prequalification Results

Unfortunately not all of Verizon's customers are able to get DSL service or qualify for all service levels. DSL technology requires that telephone service be in a wire center that is DSL capable, in addition, the premise must be served through copper facilities and be within a certain distance from the wire center. Prequal results provide the following:

  Highest Level Qualified
The highest level of service qualified is returned for each qualifying service. Level of service is a function of the distance from the wire center and DSL technology serving the wire center. Following is a hierarchy of qualification levels.
        Infospeed DSL 15.0M/1.0M
        Infospeed DSL 10.0M/1.0M
        Infospeed DSL 7.1M/768K
        Infospeed DSL 5.0M/768K
        Infospeed DSL 768K/768K
        Infospeed DSL 3.0M/768K
        Infospeed DSL 1.5M/384K
        Infospeed DSL 1.5M/128K
        Infospeed DSL 1.0M/384K
        Infospeed DSL 384K/384K
        Infospeed DSL 768K/128K

If a customer's highest level qualified is Infospeed DSL 7.1M/768K, they are able to get all six services. If a customer's highest level qualified is Infospeed DSL 768K/128K they can only get that level of service. Go to DSL Packages (https://www22.verizon.com/dslmembersonly/ispmanual/isp_manual2.jsp) for marketing descriptions of the Infospeed DSL service levels and go the DSL Pricing for price information on the various levels.
