Standalone DSL
Standalone DSL enables end user customers to obtain DSL without needing to establish voice service.
Ordering - Standalone DSL requires pre-qualification by address through the ISP Members Only site. When the address qualifies for Standalone DSL, the "Order Standalone DSL" can be selected to access the ordering page. Change ISP functionality is not supported on Standalone DSL. Standalone DSL customers wanting to change service providers must first disconnect then submit installation orders with their new service provider.
Rates - The rates for Standalone DSL are the same as the rates for DSL where Verizon voice service is also provided on the customer's telephone line.
Intervals - The Standalone DSL service interval will vary by state and will be communicated through a notification from ISP Members Only. The notification also includes a dedicated data line number for the service that is used for status, billing and trouble tickets.
Status - Order status can be obtained from the Standalone DSL Status link in the ISP Members Only web site using the ISPGW Request ID, the Service Order Number, or the Standalone DSL Dedicated Data Line number.
Installation - Standalone DSL may require a Verizon technician to install a Network Interface Device (NID) at the customers premises. We recommend that ISPs advise their customers that technician may be dispatched to install the NID.
