The purpose of this industry mailing is to notify you of the updated release of the 3/00 CLEC Handbook Series, and to inform you of the soon-to-be released updated CD-ROM version of the CLEC and Resale Handbook Series. Both the CLEC and Resale Handbook Series are currently available on the Bell Atlantic Wholesale Markets' Web site and can be found at the following address: http://bellatlantic.com/wholesale/html/customer_doc.htm. In addition, for your convenience, a full text search engine (similar to Yahoo!) is now accessible on the Wholesale Markets' Web site.

For those customers that wish to have access to the Handbook Series when not using the Internet, the HTML-based CLEC and Resale Handbook Series, along with the full text search engine, will be available on a soon-to-be released updated CD-ROM. Bell Atlantic Wholesale Markets has retained CD-ROM distribution for its portability, convenience, functionality and ease of use. CD-ROM users will be able to download updates (i.e., Interim Releases) via the Internet using an update function. The CLEC and Resale Handbook Series on CD-ROM costs $149 per CD, and will provide customers, for a period of one year from the purchase date, with subsequent Handbook releases and updates via the Internet. The CLEC and Resale Handbook Series CD-ROM is a single-user application and can be installed and used on one PC at a time. For customers that order more than 10 CDs, the price is only $99 per CD. Note, however, that customers will be able to access, view and print the Handbook Series via the Bell Atlantic Web Site free of charge.

With the improved convenience and functionality of the Handbook Series CD-ROM, paper copies of the Handbooks are no longer produced or distributed. However, customers can print individual sections using their Web browser via the Bell Atlantic Web Site or CD-ROM.

For your convenience, the CD-ROM order form has been included in this mailing. Please fill out the form and fax it to the number listed on the form. Your CLEC and Resale Handbook Series CD-ROM will arrive within four to six weeks.
