Verizon Trouble Administration Gateway (VTAG) is our Web interface that allows Access Customers to use the Internet to Create, Modify and Request to Close trouble tickets as well as obtain Status and History. In addition, an Access Customer can test Special Access circuits where there is test capability and request basic loopback tests.

Business Reason

Processing via a web interface provides customers with quick on-line access to trouble reporting information via a well-defined easy to use interface. The customer’s investment in using our web interface is significantly less than our Electronic Bonding (EB) interface and offers our customers an alternate option to reduce the need for phone calls to report or obtain the status on access circuit troubles.

System and Browser Requirements
The customer's computer must have internet access with Single Socket Layer (SSL) 3.0 compliant browser software - Netscape 4.7 and higher or MS Internet Explorer 5.5.x/6.x with JavaScript enabled. VTAG server application and server web is on mainframe linux operating system. The database is midrange Unix/Oracle.

Customers can request access to this web application from the VTAG Home Page via the link “Apply for VTAG account.” Contact information can be found in Contact Us.
