Pre-Order Transactions: Telephone Number Assignment Inquiry

Overview
The Telephone Number Assignment inquiry allows the CLEC to reserve an end user telephone number(s). Reservations can be held for a maximum of 180 calendar days or until a firm order is received and must not exceed 180 calendar days.
When to Use
Telephone Number Assignment inquiry is used when the CLEC requires a telephone number prior to issuing a Local Service Request (LSR).
How to Complete
The required fields for submission of the Telephone Number Assignment inquiry for a Telephone Number are "Request Type," "Activity Type," "Type of Service," "Call Back Number," "Telephone Number Type" and "Quantity of Numbers Requested." The required fields "Customer Carrier Name Abbreviation," "Company Code," "State," "Transaction Number," "Transaction Activity," and "Transaction Type" will be automatically returned using the information from the address validation transaction.
