Overview
The PIC Availability Inquiry allows the CLEC to identify the carriers that provide InterLata and IntraLata service to a specified NPA/NXX.
When to Use
The PIC Availability Inquiry is used by the CLEC prior to submitting a Local Service Request (LSR) to determine which InterLata and IntraLata carriers are available.
How to Complete
The required fields for submission of this inquiry are "NPA/NXX" and "Type of Service." The required fields "Customer Carrier Name Abbreviation," "Company Code," "State," "Transaction Number," "LSOG Version," "Transaction Activity," and "Transaction Type" will be automatically returned using the information from the address validation transaction.
Responses from Verizon
The response will contain a list of available carriers.
